Microsoft has published another roundup of upcoming releases for Xbox users. In the last week of July, several dozen new titles will be released for sale and on Xbox Game Pass, covering almost every genre. The biggest star of the lineup is Halo: Campaign Evolved, a refreshed version of the cult classic campaign Halo: Combat Evolved. There will also be new RPGs, strategy games, horror titles, and indie releases. Some of the titles will be available on day one via an Xbox Game Pass subscription. This is one of the most diverse weeks in the Xbox release calendar in recent months.
Halo returns, and Game Pass gains more premieres
The week's biggest release is undoubtedly Halo: Campaign Evolved, which launches July 28 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The title refreshes the campaign of the classic Halo: Combat Evolved, offering updated graphics, improved controls and extra missions that depict events leading up to the main story. The game will also arrive in the Xbox Game Pass library on day one. A day later, Mistfall Hunter joins the service — a dark action game with extraction and roguelite elements set in a fantasy world. Among the larger releases is Dispatch from the creators of Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, which delivers a humorous take on a superhero story. Fans of classic RPGs will also get Gothic Classic, the return of the legendary title on modern Xbox consoles. Game Pass will be further enriched by the strategy Corsair Cove, letting you build a pirate town and command your own fleet. That means subscribers will see several major releases within just a few days. Microsoft is once again backing simultaneous debuts of selected games on the service. The lineup covers both big-budget productions and ambitious indie projects. The coming week could be especially appealing to regular Xbox Game Pass users. It's also a great chance to catch up on a few brand new franchises. Microsoft is clearly signaling that the second half of the year will be very busy.
Strategies, horrors and indie games will fill the end of July
Beyond the biggest releases, players will get access to many smaller but varied titles. Among them are The King Is Watching, Forever Skies, PAW Patrol: Dino World and Zombie Graveyard Simulator. Horror fans can reach for Nightmare Shift, Angel Engine or The Green Light. Puzzle fans will receive Railway Routes, Sizeable and Case Solved: The London Files, among others. There will also be fast-paced shooters like Kusan: City of Wolves, HARDWIRED: Ghost In The Reset and Truxton Extreme. The release schedule also includes platformers, simulators and games focused on relaxing gameplay. Some titles will offer support for Xbox Play Anywhere and Smart Delivery, allowing progress to be carried across devices. Many new games have been optimized for Xbox Series X|S. PC players will also find several releases available simultaneously on PC. Microsoft continues its strategy of regularly bolstering its lineup with indie releases alongside major premieres. That way every platform user should find something to suit their preferences. The end of July promises to be especially rich for the entire Xbox ecosystem.
The last week of July will bring Xbox users dozens of new games. The biggest event will be the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved, but the rich lineup will also include many titles available from day one on Xbox Game Pass as well as numerous indie games across a wide range of genres.
