IO Interactive has reason to be pleased, because 007 First Light has reached another important sales milestone. The title has just passed the 4 million copies sold mark, confirming strong interest in the new James Bond adventure. The game took less than three months from its release to reach this result. However, the developers are not slowing down and are already working on the next batch of content.

007 First Light quickly gains more players

007 First Light has performed very well on the market from the start. Within the first 24 hours of release the game sold more than 1.5 million copies, and now, less than three months later, the counter has already surpassed 4 million copies. The figure covers sales on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5, showing that the new installment of Agent 007's adventures has found a broad audience. But IO Interactive's plans don't stop there. The studio confirmed it still intends to expand the game through further updates, and an announced version for the Nintendo Switch 2 could give sales an extra boost. Its release should allow the game to reach another group of players.

The developers have prepared a large portion of new content

IO Interactive also presented the key elements of the game's first-year roadmap. Players can expect new Tactical Simulations, additional challenges set across several locations. There will also be new story missions in which Bond will investigate information related to Webb Industries and a mysterious technology. One of the announced storylines will also focus on Bond's efforts to form an alliance between MI6 and the Pirate King Bawma. Updates will also bring new weapons, gear, cosmetic items and further gameplay scenarios. The developers are also considering adding a New Game+ mode that would allow replaying the campaign while retaining some of the equipment obtained, although that feature has not yet been officially confirmed.

007 First Light surpassed 4 million copies sold in under three months, which is a very good result for IO Interactive. The game had already enjoyed a strong start, selling over 1.5 million copies on its first day. The studio wants to continue expanding the game with new missions, challenges, equipment and additional gameplay elements. Another factor that could boost sales is the release of a version for the Nintendo Switch 2.
