Xiaomi unveils new Yu7 models – screens that can compete with televisions!
On May 22, Xiaomi will officially present a new series of electric vehicles Xiaomi SU7 in the Yu7 variant, which fits into the brand’s broader strategy: expansion into all possible market segments. From smartphones, through smart home, to electromobility – Xiaomi is building its technological empire, attempting to create an ecosystem in which everything works together with the HyperOS ecosystem.
But since we are the party that specialises in screens and televisions, let’s take a closer look at the displays used in the Yu7 models, because there is a lot happening here as well.
Displays in Xiaomi Yu7 – like OLEDs, but on wheels
In the latest model Xiaomi Yu7, we find a 15.6-inch central screen, a 16.1-inch screen for the passenger, and a 56-inch HUD display – and these are not figures to be ignored. Xiaomi has heavily focused on image quality and ease of interaction. The screens have been optimised for responsiveness, colour depth, and brightness – key parameters also in the world of home televisions.
Interestingly, the 56-inch HUD introduces an experience known from heads-up displays in luxury premium vehicles, while also offering resolution and contrast that could embarrass more than one laptop or monitor. This shows that Xiaomi is bringing home entertainment standards into the car cabin – and that's literally.
The multimedia system is based on HyperOS, so the graphical interface has been refined with users accustomed to high-quality screens in mind. Xiaomi is continuously striving to expand its capabilities – both hardware and software – creating an integrated world where it doesn’t matter which of their devices you are using. The Yu7 is another step in this direction.

Xiaomi not only designs – now it also wants to deliver faster and wider
Importantly, with the launch of the Yu7, Xiaomi is also expanding its distribution network. Xiaomi announced that by the end of the year it aims to have as many as 219 sales outlets and 143 service points. This is a significant step forward, demonstrating that the company is not only focused on creating modern cars but also on making them easy to purchase and service. It is clear that Xiaomi is increasingly prioritising comprehensive, convenient customer service – something that until now was mainly associated with their electronics, is now also entering the automotive world.
And what about Poland? Although at this moment the official sale of Xiaomi cars has not yet been confirmed in our market, the development of the network in Europe and ambitions for expansion suggest that introducing models such as the Yu7 to Poland is a matter of time. After all, Xiaomi has been one of the leaders in smartphone and smart home device sales in our country for years – thus, a natural move would be to expand the offer to include the electromobility segment, as soon as the infrastructure and regulations allow it.
