Hisense refreshes the Canvas TV series. The new model S7S will feature more sizes and better components.

Calendar 3/21/2026

As first reported by Mike Wheatley from the industry site HDTVTest, Hisense is launching the second generation of its “artistic” television, which is a direct competitor to Samsung's popular The Frame series. The new model, designated S7 ChooseTV (S7SG), replaces the S7N model that debuted two years ago and brings several significant changes – particularly regarding the available screen sizes.

From 50 to as much as 85 inches – will Poland see a complete offering?

The most important new feature in this year's offering is the expansion of the size range. The Hisense S7SG will be available in versions 50, 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches. The addition of the smallest 50-inch variant is a signal that the manufacturer wants to reach those looking for a stylish screen for smaller rooms.

It is worth putting a question mark here. Which concerns our market. The previous generation (S7N) was available in Poland exclusively in the size of 55 inches, which significantly limited choices for consumers. The question of whether this time the Polish branch of Hisense will decide to introduce a full range, including the powerful 85-inch model, remains unanswered for now.

If you are interested in its previous version, we made a dedicated film in which we compared 3 lifestyle televisions:

A Screen That Pretends to be a Picture

The concept of Canvas TV remains unchanged: the television should not dominate the living room when it is turned off. Thanks to the Art Mode, the device displays images of famous masters or personal photos, turning the black sheet of glass into a digital canvas.

To ensure the effect is convincing, Hisense has implemented:

  • Matte QLED Panel: Effectively eliminates light reflections, making the image look like paper or canvas, rather than a shiny screen.

  • Ultra-flat Mounting: The included bracket allows the television to be hung almost flush against the wall.

  • Picture-styled Frames: The casing mimics traditional framing of artworks.

What will we find inside?

The heart of the new S7 is the MediaTek Pentonic 700 processor. For gamers, the television offers two HDMI 2.1 ports, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, VRR support and AMD FreeSync Premium. The smart system is powered by Google TV (in the USA), which provides access to all popular streaming applications. If it comes to us, it will likely use the Vidaa system. Hisense also boasts its own graphics store, with over 1000 works available (still less than the competition, but... free of charge 😉).

Price

Although the television has already debuted in the United States, the official Polish prices and release dates for individual sizes are not yet known. The predecessor in the 55-inch version started at around 700 dollars (2799zł), so the new generation will probably maintain an aggressive pricing policy to compete with Samsung's The Frame.
