Here is the latest iPad Pro. A YouTuber showed it to the world before Apple!

iPad Pro with M5 revealed ahead of launch! YouTuber shows first tests – more RAM, faster GPU and Apple’s surprise spoiled.

It seemed that Apple would calmly make it to the October launch of the iPad Pro with the M5 chip this year. Meanwhile, history has repeated itself – the same Russian YouTuber who "spoiled" the debut of the MacBook Pro with the M4 processor a year ago has once again stirred up a tempest online. He published a video in which he unboxes the latest iPad Pro, revealing the first benchmarks in the process.

iPad Pro with M5 in the first video

In the recording, we see a device that is structurally almost indistinguishable from its predecessor – an ultra-slim casing, a single camera, and no apparent visual changes. However, this does not entirely align with the predictions of Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, who suggested that this year's iPad Pro would have as many as two front-facing cameras. There is no mention of that in the video – which leaves some question marks.

Performance Results – a light but noticeable jump

The M5 system performs exactly as expected in synthetic tests – providing a noticeable, though not revolutionary, increase in power compared to the M4. The benchmarks show:

  • +10% in single-threaded mode

  • +15% in multi-threaded mode

  • L2 memory increased from 4 MB to 6 MB

The biggest jump, however, is seen in graphics – Metal GPU improved by as much as 38%, and in AnTuTu, the GPU recorded an increase of about 8%. The video shows a model with 256 GB of memory and 12 GB of RAM – an interesting change, as previously Apple only offered 12–16 GB in the more expensive variants. Now even the “lower” configurations are getting more RAM.

Details that may be overlooked

It is worth paying attention to a few details: the iPad was running iPadOS 26.0, not 26.0.1, there is no "iPad Pro" writing on the casing, and the box looks thinner than before. A small thing, but significant for Apple.

Another Apple surprise spoiled

We did not expect serious changes in design – those came last year. But the fact that someone got their hands on the equipment once again before its premiere and showed it to the world must be quite irritating for Apple. We expect the official presentation of the iPad Pro in October, but the surprise is basically gone. It’s hard to believe that the giant from Cupertino will turn a blind eye to the recurring leak – especially since it does not officially conduct sales in that region.
