Anker once again surprises with an idea that could change the way we think about mini projectors. The new Nebula P1 is not just a compact piece of equipment for outdoor cinema – it is also a clever design with detachable speakers that finally allow for a truly immersive sound experience.
Speakers that stand out
The biggest drawback of portable projectors has always been the sound. Anker has solved this problem in its own way – Nebula P1 has two 10-watt speakers that can simply be… slid out of the casing and positioned anywhere in the room. They connect to the projector wirelessly via Bluetooth, so there's no need to struggle with cables.
Each speaker has its own battery – enough for about 20 hours of use. The projector itself requires mains power, although Anker has a solution for that too: SOLIX C300 DC Power Station, a mobile power bank with enough capacity for 3.5 hours of viewing.
Full HD Image and 130° Gimbal
The Nebula P1 displays images in Full HD resolution (1080p), with a diagonal of up to 180 inches. The brightness is 650 ANSI lumens, making it best suited for use in the evening or in darkened rooms. The projector features a built-in, rotating gimbal (range of 130°), autofocus, keystone correction, and a image stabiliser.
The device has an IP33 rating, which means it is resistant to light splashes. The speakers are even sturdier – IP54, so they can withstand dust and a rainy evening under the gazebo (though a bath is not advisable).
Google TV on board and the cheaper sibling of the powerful Nebula X1 Pro
The Google TV system provides access to popular services like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video. Additionally, there are HDMI 2.1, USB-A and USB-C ports, allowing you to connect a console, a USB drive or a laptop.
Anker already has a larger model with a similar concept – the Nebula X1 Pro, but that is equipment from a different league: 3500 ANSI lumens, two 80-watt speakers and subwoofers. Price? Almost 3700 USD. In this context, the Nebula P1 looks very reasonable.
Price and Availability
The Nebula P1 is already available in the USA and will soon be launched in Europe and the UK. In the package, Anker is adding a 100” projection screen for free.

Nebula P1 is a projector that has finally approached sound with intelligence. Instead of cramming the speakers into the casing, Anker has allowed them to… break free. Combined with an elegant design, Google TV, and a full set of ports – it could be the most interesting portable projector of the season.
