Xiaomi once again proves that a gaming monitor with good specs does not have to cost a fortune. The company has unveiled the Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition, which features a 27-inch Fast IPS panel, WQHD resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The biggest surprise, however, is the price, as in China the device will cost no more than 799 yuan at launch, about $120!
Panel 2K 240 Hz
The new Xiaomi monitor features a Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The manufacturer specifies a 1 ms GtG response time and a peak brightness of 500 nits.
The Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition also offers 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and 100% sRGB. The monitor supports 10-bit colour depth realised via an 8-bit panel with FRC. Each unit is factory-calibrated, with a claimed colour accuracy of Delta E < 2.
Xiaomi has also catered for gamers
It features AMD FreeSync Premium and a dynamic overdrive, which automatically adjusts the panel's response time to the current frame rate.
There is also a function to brighten dark areas of the image, an adjustable on-screen crosshair and the option to simulate a 24.5-inch screen. The latter may particularly interest fans of CS2 and other e-sports titles, although FreeSync Premium is disabled in that mode.
The monitor is equipped with two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, two HDMI 2.0 ports and a headphone jack. The stand allows height, tilt and swivel adjustment, and the screen can be positioned in portrait orientation.
240 Hz for $120. Where does that price come from?
The Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition is a cheaper variant in the lineup, which also includes a model with a 320 Hz refresh rate.
The new model is due to go on sale in China on 21 October. The list price is 999 yuan (about $149), but an introductory promotion has been announced that will reduce it to as little as 799 yuan.
It is not yet known whether the monitor will also be available in Poland. Bear in mind that the Chinese price does not include European taxes and distribution costs.
