Samsung Display may raise OLED panel prices in 2027. According to leaks from the Chinese industry, the manufacturer plans to increase prices by $10 to $20 per panel. The change could affect prices of OLED TVs and monitors.
Samsung wants to raise OLED prices
According to IT Home and EET-China, Samsung Display is said to have already informed its partners about planned price hikes. The reason is the situation in the OLED market, where heavy competition and low prices make it difficult for manufacturers to stay profitable.
It is not clear which specific panels are affected. Samsung makes displays for smartphones and laptops, as well as QD-OLED panels used in televisions and monitors.
Will we pay more for TVs?
If the rises also affect QD-OLED panels, they could lead to higher prices for final products. That doesn't automatically mean TV prices will climb by $10-20.
For now Samsung Display has not officially confirmed this information, and details of the planned changes remain unknown.
