
Nintendo Switch 2 will be available for sale from 5–6 June 2025. Price? The base version is 450 AUD, and in Poland for about 2199 zł, while the edition with Mario Kart World included costs 2399 zł, depending on the region. The console remains a hybrid – you can connect it to the television, but you can also easily take it on the go. This time, however, we get a more powerful device that will support games in 4K on TV, up to 120 fps in 1080p and with HDR on board.
Games at Launch: A Mix of New Releases and Proven Hits
On launch day, Nintendo confirmed a solid lineup of games. Alongside the aforementioned Mario Kart World, titles such as Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Hogwarts Legacy, Street Fighter 6, and Fortnite will also be available. In addition, several classics from the GameCube, including The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, F-Zero GX, and Soulcalibur II.
Interestingly, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will receive optimised versions right at launch. The rest of the games will get updates later – including Super Mario Odyssey, Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Xbox on board? Sony says no!
Microsoft has confirmed that some Xbox games will be available on Switch 2. These titles include Diablo IV, Halo: Master Chief Collection, Call of Duty, and even Microsoft Flight Simulator – though without specific dates. Meanwhile, Sony continues to focus on PlayStation and PC.
Summary? The launch of Switch 2 looks really promising – for both those returning to classics and players looking for new experiences. However, it is worth noting that Nintendo has also... raised game prices. Some will cost as much as up to 90 euros.
