Has Polish Siri returned to Apple's radar? The company is once again looking for a Polish language specialist.

Calendar 2/24/2026

The topic of Polish Siri is coming back like a boomerang. On Apple's recruitment page, there is once again a job advertisement for the position of Language Engineer (Polish), Global Siri. The company from Cupertino is looking for a specialist to help develop the understanding of the Polish language in the voice assistant. The problem is that we have seen similar offers a few years ago, and there are still no results. Siri has been around since 2010 and debuted more widely with the iPhone 4s. Since then, the assistant has undergone many changes, but there is still no Polish language version. In the meantime, the competition has significantly accelerated.

Announcement that has already been

Apple is looking for an engineer responsible for the development of natural language processing, machine learning, and localisation for Siri in Polish. It sounds promising, however, similar recruitments were conducted as far back as 2020. Since then, solutions such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot have emerged on the market, which easily handle the Polish language. Siri, on the other hand, still lags behind.

At the same time, Apple is developing the Apple Intelligence platform and increasingly integrating AI with its systems. In the context of Siri, there is talk of a complete modernisation of the assistant and collaboration with Google using Gemini models. This means that the company may currently be focusing primarily on refining the English version of the new Siri. In such a situation smaller language markets may once again be sidelined.

Will it succeed this time?

The announcement is still visible in Apple's recruitment system, suggesting that the project has not been abandoned. The question, however, is whether we will actually see Polish Siri in the coming years, or if the topic will again remain in the realm of plans. After six years of announcements and recruitment, it’s hard not to feel that Apple is still more "chasing the rabbit" than actually catching it.

Apple is once again looking for a specialist in Polish Siri, but history shows that similar announcements do not guarantee quick results. Until we see a real launch, it's wise to temper our enthusiasm.
