Apple is preparing a wave of releases. The new MacBook and iPhone 17e could be here next week?

Calendar 2/27/2026

Apple is announcing an intense week of launches. After sending out invitations for the event on 4 March, Tim Cook further heated things up with a social media post: “A big week ahead. It all starts Monday morning!”. Everything points to the company showcasing not one but several new products. Leaks suggest new MacBooks with M5 chips, a budget laptop for students, and the iPhone 17e. It's possible that this will be one of the largest waves of launches from Apple in recent years.

Cheap MacBook and new M5 chips

The most excitement is around the anticipated, cheaper MacBook. According to unofficial information, its price is expected to be in the range of $600–$800, which would make it the cheapest new Apple laptop in years. The device may target students and users looking for an alternative to cheaper Windows laptops. At the same time, Apple is expected to refresh the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, equipping them with new M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max processors. In the face of rising costs of RAM and SSD storage, the new models may be the last before a potential price increase.

iPhone 17e and other surprises

The next launch is expected to be the iPhone 17e, the successor to the 16e model, which despite mixed reviews from critics has become one of the best-selling smartphones of 2025. The new version will likely feature a newer processor and Dynamic Island instead of the classic notch. There is also speculation about additional announcements, such as new iPads or a second generation of Studio Display. Apple may spread the launches over several days instead of organising one big event.

It promises to be an exceptionally busy week for Apple fans. An affordable MacBook, new MacBooks from the M5 series, and the iPhone 17e could significantly refresh the company's offerings. If the leaks are confirmed, the March launches may turn out to be some of the most important in 2026.
