Acer has unveiled the new Nitro XV273X V monitor, which may appeal to both gamers and people who work with visuals. The device features Dual Mode, allowing you to switch between 5K at 180 Hz and WQHD at up to 330 Hz. Interestingly, its price isn't as high as the specs might suggest.

Dual Mode

The new Acer uses a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a native resolution of 5120 × 2880 pixels. Thanks to Dual Mode technology, the user can choose one of two display modes. The first offers 5K at 180 Hz, delivering a high level of detail useful when working with graphics or watching films. The second drops the resolution to 2560 × 1440 pixels but raises the refresh rate to 330 Hz, which should particularly appeal to esports fans.

The manufacturer claims a 1 ms GtG response time, a peak brightness of 600 nits and 95% DCI-P3 coverage. The monitor also received DisplayHDR 600 certification, support for AMD FreeSync Premium and compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync. It is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, a headphone output and two speakers rated at 2 W each. The stand allows height adjustment, tilt and rotation of the screen.

The Acer Nitro XV273X V has already gone on sale in China at a price of 4,699 yuan, which is about PLN 2,700 (in a straightforward conversion). So far the manufacturer has not confirmed a European launch or a Polish price. The new model shows that gamers no longer have to choose between high resolution and very fast refresh rates, although of course fully using both modes will require a suitably powerful PC.
