You don't need 4K, just something cheap and good? The TCL SF560K will hit the market soon!

Calendar 7/3/2025

The TCL SF560K QLED is an affordable TV for your bedroom or kitchen. It supports HDR10 and Dolby Audio, and comes in 32", 40" and 43" – ideal as a second screen.

TCL once again proves that it knows how to make good and affordable televisions. Their latest SF560K QLED series has just hit the shelves – and at very enticing prices. If you’re looking for a second screen for your home – for the bedroom, kitchen, or kids' room – this could be exactly what you need.

QLED for less than £300? Yes, it's happening

The new SF560K models come in three sizes: 32, 40, and 43 inches. Each features a Full HD screen with Direct LED backlighting and a 60 Hz refresh rate, but the most important aspect here is something else – the QLED panel. Yes, we're talking about those same quantum dots that we associate with more expensive models. The result? Definitely better colors than in the classic LEDs in this price range.

TCL also adds a few technological perks: support for HDR10, Dolby Audio, and DTS:X sound, as well as a promise of better energy efficiency. The operating system is Fire TV – known for providing full access to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and the rest of the main players. It's not Android TV, but in practice, the differences are minimal.

British market? Full integration with "Freely" and Alexa

Interesting fact – the SF560K is one of the first TVs in the UK with the Freely app pre-installed, which provides access to live broadcasts and on-demand content from BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5. Additionally, it comes with a remote that supports Alexa, allowing you to control not only the TV but also other smart home devices by voice.

And now the most important thing - the price

The official prices are as follows:
– 32 inches: £219 (approx. $280)
– 40 inches: £249 (approx. $320)
– 43 inches: £299 (approx. $385)

Currently, you can buy on promotion:
– 32 inches for £159 (approx. $205)
– 43 inches for £229 (approx. $295)

For a QLED TV with HDR10 support, Dolby Audio, and DTS:X – these are really competitive prices. Especially if we consider that in this price range, it's rare to find panels with quantum dot technology.

What about the U.S. market?

At this time, the TCL SF560K appears to be a U.K.-exclusive release, and there’s no official word on a U.S. launch. That said, TCL frequently tailors its product lines for different regions, so it’s possible a similar budget-friendly QLED model could arrive stateside under a different name or series. In the U.S., TCL already offers a wide range of affordable TVs with Roku or Google TV, but a Full HD QLED option in the sub-$300 category could easily find an audience—especially among buyers looking for a second screen for the bedroom, dorm room, or kitchen. It's worth keeping an eye on TCL's upcoming product announcements for any sign of a comparable release.
