The coming week looks exceptionally busy for Xbox console and PC owners. From August 24 to 28, more than 20 new games will arrive on Microsoft's platforms, covering a wide range of genres. There will be big productions, new entries in well-known series, and smaller indie projects. The end of the week looks especially interesting, when several highly anticipated titles will arrive on Xbox.
Star Wars, A Plague Tale and Metal Gear Solid are next week's biggest releases
One of the most important releases will be Star Wars Zero Company, which debuts on August 27. EA's title is a turn-based tactical single-player game set in the Star Wars universe at the end of the Clone Wars. Players will take command of the elite Zero Company squad and play as Hawks, a former Republic officer. On the same day Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will also arrive, a new Asobo Studio production that takes the series in a completely new direction. The story is set 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem and stars Sophia. This time the developers put more emphasis on combat, exploration and dynamic movement, and players will, among other things, come across a mysterious island tied to the legend of the Minotaur. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will also debut on August 27. The next collection from the iconic Konami series will include Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in HD. Fans of cooperative play can also pick up Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, where up to four players will take on the roles of Colonial Marines fighting hordes of Xenomorphs. Other bigger releases include Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters with 110 playable characters and Blood Dungeon, a demanding survival-focused platformer. The latter title will also arrive on Xbox Game Pass on August 25.
From small indie games to strategy and survival. Xbox has releases ready for every taste
The list of releases is much longer and includes many smaller titles. On August 25 we’ll see Once Human, a multiplayer survival game where players must build shelters, fight monsters, and uncover the secrets of a post-apocalyptic world. The day before, B.i.t will debut, a platformer focused on exploring ten diverse worlds and gaining new abilities. On August 26 players will get, among others, Brigandine: Abyss, a strategy game that mixes nation management with RPG elements, and Aggelos 2, a fast-paced action platformer. That same day will also bring more relaxing titles like Cozy Tiny Home, Comfy Corners: Unpack and Decorate, and Whisper of the House. There are also puzzle and collectible games, such as Mech Shelf, A Tower Full of Cats, and Hidden Cats in Barcelona. On August 27 the list grows with titles including Infection Free Zone, where players will build a safe settlement after a global epidemic using real-world maps of locations. That day will also see Lou's Lagoon, Tearscape, Murders on the Yangtze River, Horripilant, and several smaller releases. The week closes with releases on August 28, including 1964 Operation Velvet Twins, Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge 4 Remastered, Mighty Aphid: Remastered Edition, Once Alive, Rune Axe, and Splash of Color. That means players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC will have plenty of new titles to check out next week.
