Samsung has expanded its OLED monitor lineup with three new models aimed at gamers and power users. The biggest addition is the G73SH, which is the company’s first monitor to use a WOLED panel manufactured by LG Display. Alongside it, two G80SH models featuring fourth-generation QD-OLED panels also debuted. All monitors offer 4K resolution and modern ports. The manufacturer also provides a two-year warranty covering panel burn-in.
Samsung uses an LG Display WOLED panel for the first time
The biggest new addition in this year's lineup is the Samsung G73SH. It's the manufacturer's first monitor equipped with a WOLED panel supplied by rival LG Display. The device offers a 3840 × 2160 resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and can operate at 330 Hz when switched to Full HD. The monitor supports HDR10+ Gaming and was designed mainly for gamers. Samsung also added a matte screen finish and a two-year warranty that covers potential OLED burn-in. Using an LG Display panel shows that the two Korean companies are collaborating more often despite years of rivalry. A similar situation already exists in Samsung's OLED TVs, which use both QD-OLED and WOLED panels. According to industry reports, LG also plans to introduce a monitor with a QD-OLED panel in the future. The cooperation is intended to help them better compete with the rising competition from China.
G80SH offers 4K, 240 Hz and modern connectivity
Samsung also unveiled two G80SH models available in 27- and 32-inch versions. Both use fourth-generation QD-OLED panels and offer 4K resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The monitors are equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 2.1 with 80 Gbps bandwidth, and USB-C with 98 W power delivery. The manufacturer also implemented HDR10+ Gaming support and a matte screen finish to reduce reflections. All new models come with a two-year warranty that also covers OLED panel burn-in. Samsung says launch prices will be high, but as in previous years you can expect significant discounts during sales, including around Black Friday. The new models join Samsung's broad OLED monitor lineup, which includes models from 2024, 2025, and 2026.
