Samsung is launching the "One Shot Challenge" campaign. Galaxy AI is supposed to make us stop living "through the screen"!

Samsung launches the One Shot Challenge – Galaxy AI and the Z Fold7 show how to take the perfect photo with a single shot and stop living life “through the screen”.

Samsung has officially launched a new campaign called "One Shot Challenge," which has one goal: to help people snap less and live more in the moment. At the center of this initiative is the Galaxy Z Fold7 and the Galaxy AI features, especially Generative Edit — a tool that can fix a photo after it has been taken.

Are you taking pictures on vacation and... stop experiencing anything? You are not alone

According to new research from Samsung, as many as 57 percent of Europeans admit that taking pictures pulls them out of the moment they are trying to experience. This most often happens during:

  • of sightseeing and holiday attractions – 45 percent.

  • of family gatherings – 32 percent.

  • of concerts – 31 percent.

  • of just hanging out with friends – 28 percent.

  • of holidays and winter celebrations – 21 percent.

What's worse, almost half of the people (45 percent) feel pressured to take the "perfect photo," although 73 percent would prefer to live in the moment rather than constantly adjust the frame.

One picture is enough. The rest is the magic of Galaxy AI

A well-known photographer Tom Craig, who publishes in Vogue and Vanity Fair, participated in the campaign. Samsung took him to the streets of London to see if it's possible to take the perfect photo... without perfect conditions. Craig used the Galaxy Z Fold7, took one shot, and then using Generative Edit:

  • removed cars and pedestrians,

  • filled in empty spaces,

  • straightened the frame and improved the composition.

The result? No nervous "clicking" of a series of photos and full concentration on what is happening here and now. Samsung demonstrates, using photos from Piccadilly Circus, that the phone will take care of it later — the user no longer has to lose a moment to "capture" the perfect moment.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 with Generative Edit allows you to experience more and snap less – the perfect tool for holidays, travel, and family moments. Samsung encourages living in the here and now – the One Shot Challenge shows how Galaxy AI enhances photos without the pressure of hunting for the perfect shot.

Europeans want AI, but... they don't use it

Samsung's research shows one more interesting thing:

  • 86 percent of people noticed distracting elements in their photos that they would like to remove

  • but as many as 74 percent have never used AI to improve them

This means that most of us want better photos, but don't want to spend time on them. Samsung claims that this is where Galaxy AI comes in. Starting November 25, users can participate in the campaign by posting their edited photos with Generative Edit on Instagram under the campaign hashtags.

Craig is one of the most important British photographers of recent years. He has publications in top magazines, five years of exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery, and the title of "Travel Photographer of the Year" awarded by The Telegraph.
