First projector with Roku TV OS – Aurzen D1 Cube. 1080p Full HD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and just $199. Home cinema in a compact form.

Roku has long been regarded as one of the best alternatives to Android TV and Google TV. The platform is available on many televisions, but it was hard to find a device that would provide a cinematic image on a large screen.

This is changing with the launch of the Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector D1 Cube, which introduces the Roku TV system to a completely new category of equipment.

The First Projector with Roku TV

Roku emphasizes that this is the first projector in history with a natively operating Roku TV system – and it's hard to argue with that, since the device comes directly from the company itself. Until now, it was possible to use a projector in conjunction with a Roku stick, but the entire platform has never been built into the device itself.

This is an important step, as Roku remains number one among TV systems in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Such brand recognition could translate into the success of this model.

Price and Specifications

One of the biggest advantages of the projector is the price – 199.99 USD (approx. 149 GBP) on Amazon – and decent specifications for such an inexpensive device:

The projector supports 1080p Full HD with a maximum brightness of 330 ANSI lumens, and the image can be displayed in sizes ranging from 40 to 150 inches. The sound is provided by two 5 W speakers.

The device can be used both indoors and outdoors, although it does not have a built-in battery, so it will always need to be plugged in. The projector is dust-resistant and has sealed optics, but it is not waterproof – therefore, it will not perform well in the rain.

Streaming and Smart Features

The Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector D1 Cube supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2, allowing you to watch Netflix, YouTube, or hundreds of other apps available on Roku TV. Additionally, it offers over 500 live TV channels and “Roku Originals.”

It also comes with HDMI, USB, 3.5 mm audio output ports and support for AirPlay. The projector also works with the Roku mobile app, enabling control of other smart home devices.

Setup is simple – the automatic focus and keystone correction features make it nearly plug & play. Just position the device at the appropriate distance from the wall and you’re good to go.

Competition and Positioning

Of course, the D1 Cube does not compete with top projectors like Xgimi Titan, Horizon 20 Max, or the impressive Valerion VisionMaster Max, nor with projector speakers like Anker Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro.

Instead, it aims for the segment of cheaper, portable models such as Xgimi MoGo Pro 3 or Samsung The Freestyle 2. In this price range, the combination of a low price and the Roku TV system can be very attractive – even if it lacks a built-in battery.
