According to information appearing on the NeoGAF forum, backed by the well-known insider Kepler2, PlayStation 6 may be equipped with 30 GB of GDDR7 memory operating in a shared memory model between CPU and GPU. The source suggests that Sony is considering using ten memory modules with a capacity of 3 GB each, which would be a clear departure from the previous solutions used in consoles. Such a configuration could give developers greater flexibility in utilizing resources and better prepare the console for the demands of the next generation of games.
