LG has started selling new gaming monitors that were previously announced at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026. Among the launches are as many as five OLED monitors and two LCD models. The manufacturer is targeting both gamers who need an extremely high refresh rate and people looking for a large screen for gaming and work. Particularly interesting are the 27-inch model reaching 540 Hz and the 39-inch OLED with 5K2K resolution.
New LG OLED monitors offer up to 540 Hz and 5K2K resolution
One of the most impressive models is LG 27GX790B, equipped with a 27-inch Tandem WOLED panel. The monitor offers 1440p resolution at a 540 Hz refresh rate, and when switched to 720p it can reach up to 720 Hz. It also delivers brightness reaching 1500 nits and includes DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1, making it aimed primarily at competitive gamers. Another interesting model is the 32GX870B, which pairs a 32-inch OLED screen with 4K resolution. At its native resolution the monitor reaches 240 Hz, while at 1080p it can run at up to 480 Hz. LG also prepared three curved ultrawide models in a 21:9 aspect ratio: 34GX90SB, 39GX950B, and 45GX950B.
The most interesting of the three is the 39GX950B, because it uses a Tandem WOLED panel and offers 5K2K, that is 5120 × 2160 pixels. The monitor can run at 165 Hz in 5K2K, and when lowering the resolution it can even reach 330 Hz. The 34GX90SB, meanwhile, offers 1440p and 240 Hz and has built-in webOS, so it can also be used for streaming apps and cloud gaming services.
LG also introduced LCD monitors, including a huge 52-inch 5K2K model
However, OLEDs are not the only new products. LG also unveiled two gaming LCD monitors, the standout being the 27GM950B. This 27-inch model uses an IPS LCD panel, a 5K resolution, and a miniLED backlight with over 2,300 local dimming zones. At 5K it offers up to 165 Hz, and when switched to 1440p it can reach as high as 330 Hz. Even larger is the LG 52G930B, which features a massive 52-inch curved VA panel. The monitor offers a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 5K2K 5120 × 2160 pixels resolution. Gamers also get a high refresh rate and DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 ports.
There is one limitation to keep in mind with the 52G930B. The monitor lacks both a miniLED backlight with local dimming and an OLED panel, so it does not deliver high-quality HDR. On the other hand, the huge screen real estate, 5K2K resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio could make it an interesting option for anyone looking for a single large display for gaming, work and multimedia.
LG has launched a very wide range of new monitors, including both extremely fast OLEDs and massive 5K2K models. The fastest model, the 27GX790B, offers 540 Hz at 1440p and as much as 720 Hz at 720p, while the 39GX950B combines OLED, 5K2K and up to 330 Hz. The company also hasn't forgotten fans of large screens, exemplified by the 52-inch 52G930B. The new models are already available in the US, the UK and other regions.
