Apple boasted record financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, which ended on June 27. The company posted double-digit revenue growth in its key product categories and across all regions worldwide. Earnings per share, cash flows and the number of active Apple devices used by customers also reached record levels.
Apple posts record revenue and highest profit for the June quarter
Apple’s revenue for the quarter reached $109.4 billion, a 16 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Gross margin stood at 50.1 percent, with approximately two percentage points of this figure driven by the positive impact of a customs duty refund. Diluted earnings per share rose to $2.02, marking a 29 percent year-over-year improvement. Apple noted that this result was also partially boosted by the customs duty refund, which contributed an additional $0.11 per share. CEO Tim Cook highlighted that this was the company's best-ever June quarter. The iPhone, Mac, and Services segments saw particularly strong growth. Double-digit growth was also recorded across all geographic regions where Apple operates. The company also highlighted the unveiling of a new AI-powered version of Siri and additional child safety features at the WWDC26 conference. All these elements are expected to serve as key pillars for the continued growth of the Apple ecosystem.
Record number of active devices and another dividend for shareholders
CFO Kevan Parekh reported that the past quarter was a record-breaker not only in terms of revenue but also regarding earnings per share and operating cash flow. At the same time, the number of active Apple devices reached an all-time high. Records were set across all key product categories and in every market where the brand operates. Apple’s management also announced a dividend payment of $0.27 per common share. The funds will be distributed to shareholders on August 13, 2026, with eligibility determined based on the shareholder register as of the close of business on August 10. The financial results were discussed during a special investor conference held on July 30, which was broadcast live. Apple has also made a recording of the meeting available for approximately two weeks. These record results demonstrate that the company maintains a very strong position despite the challenging global technology market environment. For investors, this serves as further confirmation of the company’s steady growth and the high level of interest in its products and services.
Apple closed the third fiscal quarter of 2026 with record revenue, profit, and number of active devices. The main drivers were rising sales of iPhones and Macs and growth in the services segment.
