Anker came up with a really crazy but genius idea – they created a device that combines a powerful party speaker on wheels and a 4K laser projector. The result? A device that can project a huge image on any surface while pumping out bass that can be heard from afar.
Presented at the IFA 2025 trade show in Berlin, the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro is a combination of the personalized Soundcore speaker and the popular Nebula X1 projector, which debuted in April and quickly gained a reputation as one of the brightest portable 4K projectors on the market.
Looks like R2D2, plays like a home theater
The whole thing looks more like a small robot than a typical multimedia device. In a vertical case on wheels, there’s the Nebula X1 projector and a pair of wireless 5.25” subwoofers, each with 80 W of power, that can be spread out to the sides. The equipment supports wireless surround sound, and the bass is said to be truly powerful.
Moreover, the Nebula X1 Pro is the first portable projector that supports both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos simultaneously. The package also includes two wireless rear speakers of 40 W each, which, when set up around the viewer, create a fuller, more cinematic experience. And when there’s no movie, the device simply functions as a powerful Bluetooth speaker.
3500 ANSI lumens and LaserForge 2.0
The heart of the set is the same projector as in Nebula X1 – featuring LaserForge 2.0 technology based on a triple 4K laser. It offers a brightness of 3500 ANSI lumens, covers 110% of the Rec.2020 color palette, has a native contrast of 5000:1 and a dynamic contrast of up to 56,000:1. Additionally, it includes AI features that facilitate image setup: automatic size adjustment, sharpness, adaptive brightness, and contrast.
Equipment on Wheels for 20 Thousand Zlotys
The whole thing weighs a hefty 33 kg, but thanks to sturdy wheels and a retractable handle, it can be easily transported. The casing is resistant to splashes and dust (IP43), so the equipment should also perform well outdoors.
Anker plans to launch a campaign on Kickstarter later in September. Price? Ranging from 4000 to 5000 dollars (about 16,000–20,000 zlotys / 2970–3685 pounds). The first units are expected to reach backers a little earlier, but the retail premiere is scheduled for March 2026.
