Xbox Game Pass is delivering again and it's really impressive. The April offering is one of the strongest in recent months, with major releases, the return of classics, and "day one" games. Microsoft is adding both large AAA productions and smaller, yet very intriguing titles to the subscription.
The biggest releases show how hard Game Pass is fighting for players' attention
At the forefront is Hades II, which joins Game Pass on the day of its release and is one of the most anticipated indie games of recent years. This is followed by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, a refreshed version of the cult RPG, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which remains one of the largest brands in the industry.
The list of games is truly broad. We have the survival game DayZ, the strategic Endless Legend 2, the theme park simulator Planet Coaster 2, and the calm, atmospheric Tiny Bookshop. This means Game Pass caters to both hardcore gamers and those looking for something more relaxing.
Day one releases and smaller projects demonstrate that Game Pass continues to support creative games
It is worth highlighting the less obvious titles that debut straight in the subscription, such as Kiln or Vampire Crawlers. These are games that may not have massive budgets but often offer fresh ideas and unique gameplay.
As always, it's a trade-off. Among the games leaving Game Pass in the middle of the month is Grand Theft Auto V, so if someone hasn't finished it yet, now is the last moment to catch up.
April on Game Pass boasts a really strong lineup. Big releases, classics, and diverse genres make it one of the best months for subscribers in a long time.
