Philips is preparing something many of the brand's fans have been waiting years for. Its official website has listed the 83OLED811, the first 83-inch OLED TV in the company's history. Until now, Philips' largest OLEDs topped out at 77 inches. The new model will offer not only a larger screen size, but also Dolby Vision 2 Max, Ambilight and a range of features for gamers.
The new Philips 83OLED811 will feature an OLED panel with 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels). Image processing is handled by the tenth-generation P5 AI processor, which is designed to enhance detail, colour and motion smoothness. It also supports HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision 2 Max, the latest generation of the popular HDR format. It will also include Philips' trademark three-sided Ambilight. The system lights the wall behind the screen with colours that match the displayed image, intensifying the experience when watching films or gaming.
Four HDMI 2.1 ports and up to 165 Hz. Gamers will be pleased too
Philips has also prepared a number of conveniences for gamers. The TV will feature four HDMI 2.1 ports with 48 Gb/s bandwidth, support for VRR, ALLM, AMD FreeSync Premium and compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync. Interestingly, the manufacturer's materials are not entirely consistent on the refresh rate. The specification indicates 120 Hz native and up to 165 Hz with VRR, whereas the marketing description mentions native 165 Hz. A final clarification on this matter will therefore have to wait. The TV will run Titan OS. Audio will be handled by a 2.2-channel, 70 W system supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS.
Availability in Poland and price
According to unofficial information, the TV may go on sale in the first quarter of 2027. A French listing of the series suggests a price of 3999 euros, although the Polish price and availability date have not yet been confirmed.
