Panasonic has revealed the first details of its 2027 television line-up. OLED will remain a technology reserved for the top models, but the manufacturer also plans to significantly expand the QD-Mini LED range and offer larger screen sizes. For now, however, it has not confirmed entry into RGB Mini LED.

OLED still at the top

Current models Z95B and Z90B will remain in the line-up until the arrival of a new generation in 2027. This is fairly unusual for Panasonic, as the flagship televisions will stay on the market for two years. The company has not yet given names or prices for the successors, but more information is expected around CES 2027. Panasonic also assures that despite the partnership with Skyworth it will remain responsible for the key elements affecting picture quality in the premium models. Japanese engineers will be responsible, among other things, for picture tuning, Panasonic’s own picture modes and the integration of calibration systems, including Calman. Since 2026, Panasonic’s European TV operations have been developed jointly with Skyworth. The Chinese partner is responsible, among other things, for manufacturing, distribution and logistics, but Panasonic says it will continue to be involved in the development of premium models.

More QD‑Mini LED, but what about RGB Mini LED?

The second pillar of the line-up will be QD-Mini LED TVs. Panasonic plans to expand their range and introduce larger screen sizes. It is unclear, however, whether we will see a Panasonic TV with RGB Mini LED in 2027. The manufacturer did not answer directly when asked about this technology. This is particularly interesting at a time when the solution is beginning to appear in the top TVs from competitors. Panasonic is also working on changes to sound. The 2027 models will feature a new DSP algorithm and an altered speaker layout, although the details have not yet been revealed.
