Hisense has started selling the C3 Pro, C3 Ultra and C3 Ultra Max projectors in the United States. All three models use a triple RGB laser light source, support Dolby Vision and can display an image up to 300 inches diagonally. The most powerful variant achieves a claimed brightness of 5000 ANSI lumens.
From 3000 to 5000 ANSI lumens
The entry-level Hisense C3 Pro offers up to 3000 ANSI lumens, while the C3 Ultra raises that to 4000 ANSI lumens. At the top of the range is the C3 Ultra Max with a claimed 5000 ANSI lumens. The manufacturer also quotes coverage of up to 118% of the BT.2020 colour space and contrast of up to 5000:1 using an adjustable iris. All models support Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced, and are also compatible with 3D content. We also get a 2.1 audio system delivering 56 W tuned by Devialet. The projectors feature a movable gimbal-type design that makes it easier to aim the image at a screen, a wall or even the ceiling.
