Apple has announced that in 2026 it will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The company was founded on 1 April 1976 and has become one of the most important technology firms in the world over the past half-century. On the occasion of the anniversary, Apple emphasises the importance of creativity, innovation, and a mindset that challenges the status quo. According to the company, it is this approach that has allowed it to create products that have changed the way people use technology.

Among the most important are computers like Apple II and Macintosh, as well as later devices such as iPod, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. In recent years, the company has also been developing new areas of technology, exemplified by the Apple Vision Pro headset, which is said to be a step towards so-called spatial computing.
