Acer has unveiled the new Nitro XV273X V monitor, which may interest both gamers and those who work with images. The device offers a Dual Mode feature, allowing users to switch between 5K at 180 Hz and WQHD at up to 330 Hz. Interestingly, its price is not as high as the specifications might suggest.
Dual Mode
The new Acer uses a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a native resolution of 5120 × 2880 pixels. Thanks to Dual Mode technology, the user can choose between two display modes. The first offers 5K at 180 Hz, delivering a high level of detail useful when working with graphics or watching films. The second reduces the resolution to 2560 × 1440 pixels but raises the refresh rate to 330 Hz, which should be of particular interest to fans of esports.
330 Hz, HDR 600 and HDMI 2.1
The manufacturer claims a 1 ms GtG response time, a peak brightness of 600 nits and 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space. The monitor has also received DisplayHDR 600 certification, supports AMD FreeSync Premium and is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync. On board are two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, a headphone output and two 2 W speakers. The stand allows height adjustment, tilt and screen rotation.
The Acer Nitro XV273X V has already gone on sale in China at a price of 4,699 yuan, which is around 2,700 zł (simple conversion). For now the manufacturer has not confirmed a European launch or a Polish price. The new model shows that gamers no longer have to choose between high resolution and very fast refresh rates. Of course, fully utilising both modes will require a suitably powerful PC.
