AWOL Vision has opened reservations for its new ultra short-throw projector, the LuxVision. The device is set to offer 4K at 120 Hz, 6,000 ISO lumens and optical image shift. The official launch is scheduled for 3 November 2026.
4K 120 Hz and optical lens shift
LuxVision has been designed as a UST projector that can be placed close to a screen or wall. The manufacturer claims support for 4K at 120 Hz, VRR, ALLM and input lag of 1 ms at 4K/120 Hz. The projector is also said to support Dolby Vision Gaming. The most interesting feature, however, is the optical lens shift. AWOL claims it can shift the image vertically by an offset of 142-152%. This allows the image position to be changed without digital scaling or cropping. The solution is intended to make positioning the projector in the living room easier, where its placement is often constrained. LuxVision also features Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced. AWOL has also implemented Anti-RBE II technology, which is intended to reduce the rainbow effect common to some DLP projectors.
Reservations are already under way. We know the price
AWOL opened reservations on 14 September and they will run until 2 November. A deposit of €100 is required, but in return the manufacturer offers a starter package that is to include a projector and one of the compatible ALR screens. The LuxVision's catalogue price is €5,999. So it is not cheap. The launch is scheduled for 3 November. For now we have no information on the Polish price or the details of distribution in Poland.
