65-inch Mini LED TVs – Test Rankings

Available screen sizes: 55”, 65”, 75”, 85”

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED QLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

Samsung QN80H is a genuinely successful mid-range TV and, in our view, that's how you should look at it. Not as the new Neo QLED flagship, but as the first model in Samsung's lineup that already gives a clear taste of better picture quality. Full-array Mini-LED backlighting, high brightness and well-saturated colours mean that for someone moving up from a regular LCD TV the difference can be reall...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED RGB

Brand: HISENSE

Verdict:

Hisense UR9S is without doubt one of the more interesting launches this year, but not necessarily for the reasons the manufacturer emphasises most. Admittedly, the first RGB Mini LED backlight in the brand’s history and this series looks impressive in measurements, yet in practice the TV’s main strength is simply that it’s well refined. It’s clear Hisense has learned from previous models and impro...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

TCL A400 Pro is one of the most interesting lifestyle TVs we've tested so far. And not because it turns the whole idea of the "TV as a picture" upside down. In that respect it does roughly what the competition does: it should look good, blend into the interior and not be just another black slab in the living room. Its real strength lies elsewhere: in picture quality. This is the first TV of this k...

Technology: LCD VA, RGB MINI-LED

Brand: SONY

Verdict:

Sony Bravia 9 II is without a doubt one of the most advanced televisions that have ever passed through our editorial office. Sony has created a real monster by using a completely new RGB Mini-LED backlight design, which they call True RGB. But the technology alone is only half the story. Only combined with Sony's finely tuned, years-in-the-making image processing algorithms has a television emerge...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED Super QLED (SQD)

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

The TCL C8L is without doubt one of the most intriguing Mini-LED TVs to reach our lab this year. It stands out above all for an excellent price-to-performance ratio. TCL has already got us used to aggressively priced screens, but with the C8 series the company pushes that even further. At a price that would typically only buy a mid-range model—or possibly two models like the C8K—here you get featu...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED Super QLED (SQD)

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

TCL C7L is an incredibly successful Mini-LED television and a fully deserved successor to the hit model C7K. The list of advantages of this device is really long. At the top is the extremely high brightness of the panel. Thanks to this, the television handles brightly lit living rooms without any problems, offering a fantastic and dynamic image in HDR format. Huge applause is also due for the use ...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED QLED

Brand: HISENSE

Verdict:

Hisense U7S Pro is without doubt a successful model, but one built for specific tasks. Its absolute domain is bright, sunlit living rooms. Thanks to its huge brightness (over 2200 nits in HDR) and a matte panel, you can expect a comfortable picture during the day — no squinting or fighting reflections. This great daytime performance comes with rich features. You get excellent upscaling of lower-qu...

Technology: LCD IPS, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: DREAME

Verdict:

Dreame S100 is a successful, though still somewhat rough debut in the Mini-LED segment. Hardware-wise, the TV stands up for itself: Mini-LED technology with local dimming provides a deep and appealing black for the average viewer, and the IPS/ADS panel offers brilliant viewing angles. This is an interesting combination, as it is extremely rare in the LCD TV segment, which will certainly please tho...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

iFFALCON U85X is a device that draws heavily from the technological solutions of its parent brand, TCL. It's hard not to get the impression that in terms of pure technical specs, we are dealing with an almost faithful copy of the successful C6K series (C69K/Q6C), although visually, the designers opted for references to the more budget-friendly P line. This specific combination makes the television...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: SHARP

Verdict:

Sharp JP7765 is yet another offering in the market that tries to prove that Mini-LED technology doesn't have to cost a fortune. The low price is matched by an exceptionally high brightness – a peak of 1000 nits in HDR is a result that is simply impressive in this price range. Although the proprietary processor doesn't always handle backlighting management in demanding scenes perfectly, support for...
