Technology: LCD VA, QLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

Samsung QN70F is a pretty decent mid-range TV. Its strongest point is definitely the smoothness of the image – thanks to the 144 Hz panel, low input lag, and a host of extras for gamers, we have here the recipe for nearly an ideal gaming screen. It will work just as well for sports fans – the image is fast, clear, and it doesn't tear. When it comes to image quality – it's really not bad. The VA pa...

Technology: LCD IPS, White LED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

Samsung U8000F with a VA panel is a television that can pleasantly surprise in its class – of course, if we know what to expect from it. The greatest strength of this variant is definitely the quality of blacks. Compared to the version with an IPS panel, the difference is huge – the image gains depth, contrast looks significantly better, and evening movie sessions no longer resemble watching conte...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: HISENSE

Verdict:

Hisense E8Q is a television that clearly draws heavily from the U7Q model – and that’s a great thing. After all, this is its European version, not another “slimmed down” mutation. After just a few moments with this screen, it’s clear that the E8Q is putting up a fight. And in many areas, it really succeeds. To start with – what impresses is that the blacks are deep, the contrast is high, and the b...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED QLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

QN80F is the first in the history of Samsung's "eighty range" to feature Mini LED backlighting. And it does it really well. Although the number of dimming zones isn't staggering, the black levels are solid, and in combination with high brightness, it allows for a very decent picture in HDR content. Additionally, there's a 144 Hz panel that provides excellent motion fluidity, and the gaming feature...

LG B5 is a really good OLED TV that shows you don’t need to spend a fortune for very good quality. It offers deep blacks typical of organic panels, very good colour reproduction – especially after calibration – and pleasant HDR movie watching experiences. All of this makes for evening screenings that can deliver cinematic emotions even without reaching for much more expensive screens. The fluidity...

Verdict:

LG G5 is a television that not only continues but also expands on what we loved about the previous models in the G series. Instead of following the conventional path, LG opted for a new Tandem OLED panel – and it hit the mark. Picture brightness? Simply, F E N O M E N A L. HDR effect? Close to reference. Colours after calibration? Nearly perfect. Motion smoothness, low latency, and features for ga...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: HISENSE

Verdict:

The U7Q PRO is a TV that makes it clear within minutes: "speed is what matters here". Hisense has surprised us with how much they’ve packed into a device that doesn’t cost a fortune. A refresh rate of 165 Hz in 4K, and even 288 Hz in Full HD – not long ago, such figures were reserved exclusively for top-end gaming monitors. And here we have a mid-range TV with almost a full suite of features for g...

Verdict:

Hisense U7Q is one of the most interesting Mini-LED TVs in its price segment, clearly demonstrating that Hisense is starting to make a mark in the market not only through the price-to-performance ratio but also through increasingly refined picture quality. Let's start with what truly impresses: the contrast and black levels are at a level that was recently unattainable in this price range. Combine...
