65-inch LG TVs – Test Rankings

Available screen sizes: 42”, 48”, 55”, 65”

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: LG

Verdict:

The LG C6 is a very successful evolution of one of the market’s most popular OLEDs. The TV itself hasn’t changed drastically compared with last year’s C5; the look is very similar, webOS offers comparable features, and gamers again get pretty much everything you’d expect from a modern TV. You can’t really complain, since the C5 was already a very complete device in that respect. The most important...

Verdict:

LG OLED B6 is a very successful continuation of the B series and a TV that makes a lot of sense as a first step into OLED. It doesn’t try to compete with the most expensive models in every respect, but on the key points it still delivers exactly what many people choose this technology for: perfect black, very high contrast and a picture that can simply look spectacular in movies. Much of that is d...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: LG

Verdict:

LG MRGB85 is a TV that suits gamers and people attached to the webOS ecosystem best. In that respect there’s little to fault. It offers plenty of benefits for gamers thanks to a very high panel refresh rate. Add a smoothly working webOS — which stands out on the market above all because of the convenient Magic Remote and a full set of features for traditional TV — and it’s easy to see its appeal. ...

Technology: WRGB OLED, WRGB TANDEM OLED

Brand: LG

Verdict:

Without a doubt, the LG G6 is an outstanding television in many aspects. Thanks to the new generation 2 Tandem OLED panel, it does something that no other glossy screen on the market has managed so far – it superbly suppresses light reflections while maintaining perfect, unblemished image quality. When we add record brightness and the unique properties of the panel itself, the G6 can produce image...

Verdict:

LG NANO81A is essentially a continuation of the NanoCell series, which has hardly changed over the past few years. Aside from a new operating system, a refreshed remote, and a few marketing add-ons, we are dealing with practically the same construction that we have known for years. Thanks to the nano-particle filter, the television can display better, cleaner colours than standard budget televisio...

Verdict:

The QNED80A variant based on an IPS panel is aimed at a completely different audience. If you're looking for a TV for a place where life buzzes all day, and family members watch TV from various spots – this will be a good choice. The wide viewing angles and saturated colours make the picture look good, whether you're sitting directly in front or at the dining table. Of course, it's not perfect equ...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED QLED

Brand: LG

Verdict:

LG QNED93A is a television that at first glance appears to be a solid step forward compared to previous LCD models from this brand. On paper, we get a lot: significantly more dimming zones, 144 Hz refresh rate for gamers, support for all HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, and WebOS with a new Magic remote, which remains one of the most user-friendly control systems. The QNED93A shines most brigh...

QNED86A6A is a television that really does a great job in its price class when it comes to sports, gaming, and everyday TV viewing. The 120 Hz panel makes the image smooth, and the motion sharp, which will be appreciated by both fans and gamers. Additionally, it has low input lag along with a full suite of gaming features such as HGiG, VRR, and ALLM. The television works just as well with a comput...

Verdict:

LG B5 is a really good OLED TV that shows you don’t need to spend a fortune for very good quality. It offers deep blacks typical of organic panels, very good colour reproduction – especially after calibration – and pleasant HDR movie watching experiences. All of this makes for evening screenings that can deliver cinematic emotions even without reaching for much more expensive screens. The fluidity...

Verdict:

LG G5 is a television that not only continues but also expands on what we loved about the previous models in the G series. Instead of following the conventional path, LG opted for a new Tandem OLED panel – and it hit the mark. Picture brightness? Simply, F E N O M E N A L. HDR effect? Close to reference. Colours after calibration? Nearly perfect. Motion smoothness, low latency, and features for ga...
