Samsung OLED Family 2025: S85F, S90F, S95F.
Similar to the Neo QLED 4K series, Samsung has strategically and extensively expanded its OLED TV offerings to cater to various price segments and consumer demands. In the 2025 lineup, we have three key models to choose from:
S85F: A model referred to as "budget" or entry-level into the world of OLED.
S90F: A mid-range model, representing a golden mean between price and quality.

This TV offers perfect blacks and infinite contrast, but stands out with noticeably higher brightness and a wider colour gamut than models with WOLED panels, resulting in a more spectacular HDR image. It is an incredibly versatile device, ideal for evening screenings as well as serving as a gaming monitor - it offers full support for HDMI 2.1, VRR, and low input lag. Although in heavily sunlit living rooms, the black might slightly lose depth, in the evening, the S90F fully reveals its capabilities, matching more expensive flagships. Samsung S95F – Gold Statue and Revolution of the Matte Panel
The model S95F represents the pinnacle of Samsung's 2025 range and a technological powerhouse, for which it has received our highest accolade – the Gold Statue. Right from the outset, it’s clear that this is top-tier in terms of design and build quality. But the S95F is primarily about the spectacular image: it offers incredible brightness, easily exceeding 2000 nits, and delights with perfect colours thanks to the latest generation QD-OLED panel. User convenience is also enhanced by the characteristic feature of Samsung's flagships – the external One Connect Box module, which allows for aesthetic cable management. However, the real breakthrough in the S95F is the use of a matte panel, which drastically reduces light reflections. The S95F can confidently be recommended as a replacement for Mini LED TVs in brightly lit rooms. Conscious Purchase of Samsung OLED Televisions
Buyers need to be aware that the Samsung OLED 2025 series is subject to a panel lottery policy. This means that depending on the diagonal size and distribution, within the same model (e.g. S90F) we can find either a WOLED or proprietary QD-OLED panel. These two technologies differ in subpixel structure: QD-OLED has an RGB (triangular) arrangement, providing better colour saturation at high brightness, while WOLED has an RGBW (with an additional white subpixel) structure designed to enhance overall brightness.
How to Identify the Panel Type?
Camera Test (Most Reliable Method): Zoom in with your phone on a white part of the screen. If you see a triangular subpixel arrangement, you are dealing with a QD-OLED. If you see vertical RGBW stripes, it is a WOLED.
Model Number Analysis (When Purchasing Online): Check the two letters after the year code "F":
S90F/S95F: The suffix FAT indicates QD-OLED; FAE indicates WOLED.
S85F: The suffix FAU indicates QD-OLED; FAE indicates WOLED.
