JBL has announced a new generation of Cinema SB MK2 soundbars. The most interesting feature is SurroundPlay, which lets you use two portable JBL Flip 7 speakers as wireless rear channels for a home theatre setup. The new soundbars will hit selected markets on 1 October.
Two Flip 7s as rear channels
SurroundPlay will allow a soundbar to be paired with compatible JBL speakers that can serve as rear channels. At launch, JBL specifically points to a pair of Flip 7s. It's a neat option for anyone who already owns two of those speakers. Instead of buying separate rear speakers, you can use your existing gear to create a more immersive setup for your TV.
Four new soundbars
JBL has introduced four Cinema SB MK2 models: SB595MK2, SB580MK2, SB550MK2 and SB510MK2. The most feature-packed SB595MK2 offers a 3.1.2 configuration, two up-firing drivers and a wireless subwoofer. It also supports Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos is also available in the SB580MK2, while the cheaper SB550MK2 and SB510MK2 use Dolby Audio. The new line is therefore aimed at people who want to improve their TV’s sound without building a full home cinema with an AV receiver and a set of separate speakers.

Premiere this October
JBL has announced it will begin selling its new soundbars in selected markets on 1 October 2026. The company has not yet provided Polish prices or a specific date for availability in Poland.
