Gigabyte presents OLED monitors for 2026 – V-Stripe QD-OLED, new 4K panels, and glossy WOLED!

2026 Philips OLED TVs Philips is not attending CES 2026, so full details on its 2026 lineup will have to wait, but it is clear that OLED811 will succeed last year's well-received OLED810, while OLED911 replaces OLED910, and OLED951 takes over from OLED950. It seems plausible that OLED911 and OLED951 will feature the 2026 Tandem WOLED panel, similar to LG's G6 and C6H. The chip supports up to four HDMI 2.1 ports – up from two in current Philips models. It also supports new AI-based picture enhancement features. Philips is expected to unveil its full 2026 TV lineup in the coming months.

Gigabyte joins the ranks of manufacturers who are heavily focusing on OLEDs in 2026. During the announcement of new models, the company showcased several next-generation QD-OLED monitors, including a variant with V-Stripe pixels, as well as the long-awaited glossy WOLED monitor. This is a response to the changes initiated by Samsung Display and LG Display, which have finally started addressing the biggest issues of OLEDs for work and gaming.

34” QD-OLED with V-Stripe and 360 Hz

The most exciting new product is Gigabyte MO34WQC36. This is a 34-inch ultrawide monitor (21:9) with a resolution of 3440 × 1440, based on the latest QD-OLED panel featuring a V-Stripe RGB pixel layout. This new design significantly improves text sharpness and detail, making the monitor not just a gaming and multimedia device but also suitable for work. The specifications are impressive:

This model also features the new QD-OLED 2026 anti-reflective layer, which Gigabyte calls ObsidianShield. The manufacturer promises up to 40% deeper blacks in bright environments and less colour tinting – precisely the issue OLED users have been complaining about for years.

More QD-OLED Monitors

Gigabyte also showcased the MO32U24, a 32-inch 4K (3840 × 2160) monitor with QD-OLED and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. This model has also received the ObsidianShield coating, but it does not use the V-Stripe technology – it’s a classic next-gen QD-OLED. Also available is the MO27Q2A ICE – a 27-inch gaming monitor in a white chassis. It has a resolution of 2560 × 1440, 280 Hz, HDR, 99% DCI-P3, and brightness up to 1000 nits. However, this is an older QD-OLED panel, without V-Stripe and lacking the new anti-reflective layer.

Glossy WOLED – finally without matte

Finally, something many have been waiting for: Gigabyte MO27Q28GR, a 27-inch monitor with a glossy WOLED panel (Tandem OLED). This is a clear signal that monitor manufacturers are starting to move away from matte coatings that suppress contrast and colours. Specifications:

This is a very good alternative for those who want "television" quality OLED picture on their desk, without the compromises typical of matte screens.

Availability and Competition

All new Gigabyte OLED monitors for 2026 come with a 3-year burn-in warranty, which is slowly becoming standard in the premium segment. The equipment will be available for sale later in 2026 – prices are not yet known. The new models will directly compete with OLEDs from Asus, Acer, LG, Dell, and Samsung, which also showcased their new products at CES 2026. One thing is for sure: 2026 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for OLED monitors – both for gaming and for work.
