Apple is launching a new subscription and getting things in order with warranties. Just don't count on benefiting from it in Poland!

Calendar 7/24/2025

The new AppleCare One subscription covers up to 3 Apple devices. See how it works and whether it’s worth choosing over a standard warranty.

Apple doesn’t hide that the biggest money is not made today on iPhones, but on services. Subscriptions are gold for them – a stable income every month, without production costs. That’s why they’ve launched another idea: AppleCare One. And no, this is not another package for “extended warranty with a star.” It’s a thoughtful combo – part insurance, part service care, part convenience for those who have more than one piece of Apple gear and don’t want to deal with separate papers and invoices.

Apple is no longer just selling hardware. Subscriptions are their new goldmine

The service launched today, but (as usual) only in the States. For $19.99 a month (approximately AUD 72), users can cover three devices – for example, an iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Interestingly, they don’t have to be the latest models – the only requirement is that the equipment is less than 4 years old and in good condition. Each additional device added to the package costs an extra $5.99 (around AUD 22). Simple, straightforward, no fuss. And in countries where Apple Stores operate – it works really well. Not like here, where service can be… hit or miss.

Three devices, one price. And even older models are included

AppleCare One is an extension of AppleCare+. The latter is a well-known warranty extension – including unlimited repairs for accidental damage or optional protection against theft and loss. The only difference is that now you don't have to purchase separate protection for each device – you have one subscription and everything under control. Ideal for those who don't want to pay several hundred dollars again for a smashed screen. Especially in the US, where that 20 bucks a month isn't a fortune.

But not in Poland. Here, we still have glass and cases from Allegro

It’s just that… not here. AppleCare+ in Poland still doesn’t officially work, and AppleCare One – well, even less so. You can at best purchase the service abroad and hope that it will be honoured, but you can’t buy it in złoty. And nothing suggests that this situation will change. So if you’re counting on hardware protection straight from Apple – you’d better pack your bags. Or continue buying glass, cases, and hope for the best.
