Anker came up with a really crazy but brilliant idea – they created a device that combines a powerful party speaker on wheels and a 4K laser projector. The result? A device that can project a huge image onto any surface while cranking up the party with bass that can be heard from afar.
Unveiled at the IFA 2025 trade show in Berlin, the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro is a combination of the personalised Soundcore speaker and the popular Nebula X1 projector, which debuted in April and quickly earned a reputation as one of the brightest portable 4K projectors on the market.
Looks like R2D2, plays like a home theatre
The whole thing resembles a small robot more than a typical multimedia device. In its vertical, wheeled casing, it houses the Nebula X1 projector and a pair of wireless 5.25” subwoofers with 80 W power each, which can be spread apart. The equipment supports wireless surround sound, and the bass is said to be really powerful.
Moreover, the Nebula X1 Pro is the first portable projector to simultaneously support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Also included are two wireless rear speakers at 40 W each, which, when positioned around the viewer, create a fuller, more cinematic experience. And when there's no movie on, the device simply functions as a powerful Bluetooth speaker.
3500 ANSI lumens and LaserForge 2.0
The heart of the set is the same projector as in Nebula X1 – featuring LaserForge 2.0 technology based on a triple 4K laser. It offers brightness of 3500 ANSI lumens, covers 110% of the Rec.2020 palette, a native contrast of 5000:1 and a dynamic contrast reaching 56,000:1. Additionally, it includes AI features that make image adjustment easier: automatic size adjustment, focus, adaptive brightness and contrast.
Equipment on wheels for 20 thousand złoty
The whole thing weighs a hefty 33 kg, but thanks to sturdy wheels and a telescopic handle, it can be easily transported. The casing is splash-resistant and dustproof (IP43), so the equipment should also perform well outdoors.
Anker plans to launch a campaign on Kickstarter sometime in September. Price? From 4000 to 5000 dollars (approx. 16,000–20,000 zł / 2970–3685 pounds). The first units are expected to reach backers a little earlier, but the retail launch is scheduled for March 2026.
