AWOL LuxVision

AWOL Vision has started taking reservations for its new LuxVision ultra-short-throw projector. The device is set to offer 4K at 120 Hz, 6,000 ISO lumens and optical lens shift. The official launch is scheduled for 3 November 2026.

4K 120 Hz and optical lens shift

LuxVision has been designed as a UST projector that can be placed close to a screen or wall. The manufacturer claims support for 4K at 120 Hz, VRR, ALLM and an input lag of 1 ms at 4K/120 Hz. The projector is also said to support Dolby Vision Gaming. The most interesting feature, however, is the optical lens shift. AWOL says the vertical lens shift ranges from 142% to 152%. That lets you change the image position without digital scaling or cropping. The solution should make it easier to position the projector in the living room, where placement is often limited. LuxVision also includes Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced. AWOL has also implemented Anti-RBE II technology, which is designed to reduce the rainbow effect typical of some DLP projectors.

Reservations are already under way. We know the price

AWOL started taking reservations on 14 September and they will run until 2 November. A €100 deposit is required, but in return the manufacturer is offering a starter pack that is said to include the projector and one of the compatible ALR screens. LuxVision's list price is €5,999. So it's not cheap. The launch is scheduled for 3 November. For now we don't have information on the Polish price or on distribution details in Poland.
