55-inch LG TVs – Test Rankings

Available screen sizes: 42”, 48”, 55”, 65”

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: LG

Verdict:

The LG C6 is a very successful evolution of one of the most popular OLEDs on the market. The TV itself hasn't changed dramatically compared with last year's C5; the look is very similar, webOS offers comparable features, and gamers again get pretty much everything you'd expect from a modern TV. It's hard to fault that, since the C5 was already a very complete device in that regard. The most import...

Verdict:

The LG OLED B6 is a very successful continuation of the B series and a TV that makes a lot of sense as a first step into OLED. It doesn't try to compete with the most expensive models in every respect, but on the most important points it still delivers exactly what many people choose the technology for: perfect black, very high contrast, and a picture that can simply look spectacular in movies. Th...

LG MRGB85 is a TV that feels most at home in the hands of gamers and people attached to the webOS ecosystem. In that respect it’s hard to fault. It offers a lot of advantages for gamers thanks to a very high refresh rate panel. On top of that there’s a smooth webOS experience that stands out on the market mainly because of the convenient Magic remote and a full set of features for traditional TV. ...

Verdict:

There’s no doubt the LG G6 is outstanding in places. Thanks to the new 2nd-generation Tandem OLED panel it does something no other glossy-screen display on the market has managed so far: it suppresses reflections brilliantly while keeping perfect, untouched picture quality. Add record brightness and the panel’s unique characteristics, and the G6 can produce images that at times literally knock you...

LG NANO81A is essentially a continuation of the NanoCell series, which has hardly changed over the past few years. Aside from a new operating system, a refreshed remote, and a few marketing additions, we are dealing with practically the same design that we have known for years. Thanks to the nanofilter, the TV is capable of displaying better, cleaner colors than standard budget TVs, and the IPS pa...

Verdict:

Looking at the QNED80A in its VA version as a whole, we are dealing with a television that has a very specific character. It's a device that movie lovers who enjoy evening screenings seeking savings will like, as long as... they accept certain shortcomings. We get truly solid blacks and contrast here, but we pay for it with narrow viewing angles. Let's not hide it: this television is for those who...

The LG UA7500 with a VA panel is a television designed for everyday watching of television, YouTube, or streaming platforms, where SDR content continues to dominate. In this role, it performs quite well – it has decent digital image processing, satisfactory upscaling, and fairly consistent tonal transitions. Its biggest advantage remains the webOS system, full of apps and features such as USB reco...

Verdict:

LG QNED93A is a television that, at first glance, appears to be a solid step forward compared to previous LCD models from this brand. On paper, we get a lot: a significantly larger number of dimming zones, a 144 Hz refresh rate for gamers, support for all HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, and WebOS with a new Magic remote, which still ranks among the most user-friendly operating systems. The QN...
