Philips is expanding its 2026 TV lineup with a new model, the MLED901. The device offers a QD Mini LED backlight, 4K resolution, and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. It also features Philips' signature Ambilight and support for Dolby Vision. Interestingly, the new model may have more in common with last year’s model than it might seem.
Philips MLED901 uses Mini LED backlighting with quantum dot technology, designed to deliver a wide color gamut and strong contrast. Image processing is handled by the P5 Perfect Picture Engine, and the TV supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
144 Hz, Ambilight and Titan OS
The new model may also interest gamers. It offers 4K at 144 Hz, HDMI 2.1, and VRR and ALLM support. There's also three-sided Ambilight, which extends the colors shown on the screen onto the wall behind the TV. Everything runs on Titan OS. Sound is handled by four speakers with a combined output of 40 W, supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS.
Interestingly, the MLED901 appears very similar to last year’s MLED910. According to PRAD, the differences may be mainly limited to the housing and stand design, though changes in the number of dimming zones have not been ruled out.
The TV has already appeared on Philips' official Polish website in 55- and 65-inch versions. The manufacturer has not yet revealed the full specifications, pricing, or an exact launch date.
