55-inch OLED TVs – Test Rankings

Available screen sizes: 48”, 55”, 65”, 77”

Technology: QD-OLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

The Samsung S95H is in almost every respect a continuation of the S95F. During testing we often felt like we were watching the same television. But... is that a bad thing? Not necessarily, because its predecessor set the bar very high. We still get a phenomenal picture and one of the best televisions we tested in 2026. HDR has enormous impact, and the colours and blacks mean a good film can really...

Brand: SONY

Verdict:

The BRAVIA 6 can provide a lot of viewing pleasure, especially in the evening when the strengths of the OLED panel are most apparent. Deep blacks, good contrast and natural colours after calibration mean that, with the right material, its picture is easy to appreciate. It also performs well with a console: it delivers smooth motion and responds quickly to controller inputs. It's pleasing to see fo...

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: PHILIPS

Verdict:

The Philips OLED761 shows that the brand’s entry-level OLED can be a very solid choice for watching films. It performs best in the evening, when perfect blacks and striking HDR let you appreciate the strengths of the panel. After calibration, very accurate colours add to that, so it’s hard to fault the picture itself for normal viewing. It doesn’t always handle the brightest highlights as well in ...

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: PHILIPS

Verdict:

Philips OLED811 is a mid-range OLED for 2026 that stands out from its biggest rivals mainly for one thing: Ambilight. The light that follows the picture and spreads across the wall can change the atmosphere of an entire viewing session. In the evening the screen seems to extend beyond its borders and watching simply gains extra charm. For some it will be a pleasant extra, for others a sufficient r...

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

Samsung S85H is a very successful continuation of the S85 series and a television that still fulfils its primary role well – to be an affordable entry into the world of OLEDs. The biggest change compared with the predecessor is the use of the new OLED SE panel from LG Display, but the overall character of the model has remained practically unchanged. Its greatest strengths remain perfect blacks, v...

Verdict:

LG C6 is a very successful evolution of one of the most popular OLEDs on the market. The TV itself hasn't changed radically compared with last year's C5, the look is very similar, webOS offers comparable features, and gamers once again get pretty much everything you can expect from a modern television. You can't really complain, since the C5 was already a very complete piece of kit in that regard....

Verdict:

The LG OLED B6 is a very successful continuation of the B series and a TV that makes a lot of sense as a first step into OLED. It doesn't try to compete with the most expensive models in every respect, but in the most important areas it still manages to deliver exactly what many people choose this technology for: perfect blacks, very high contrast and a picture that can simply look spectacular in ...

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

The Samsung S90H is a TV that simply makes a superb impression. The combination of an OLED’s absolute black, high brightness and excellent motion clarity gives a picture that’s hard to look away from. And that’s exactly what we expect from a good OLED TV. The matte anti-reflective coating also works very well. Reflections in bright sunlight stop being a major problem, and thanks to the presence of...

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

The Samsung S99H is probably the best OLED TV we've tested so far, and certainly Samsung's best OLED in many years. In terms of picture quality it's genuinely hard to find a weak point. Blacks are perfect, as befits an organic panel, and the HDR effect impresses with its brightness and colour saturation. The use of a QD-OLED panel delivers an image that in many scenes looks almost reference-grade....

Verdict:

Without a doubt, the LG G6 is an outstanding television in many respects. Thanks to the new second-generation Tandem OLED panel, it does something that no other screen with a glossy coating on the market has been able to achieve – it superbly suppresses light reflections while maintaining perfect, unblemished picture quality. When we add to this its record brightness and the unique properties of t...
