Philips TitanOS makes up for lost time: Player and Polsat Box Go are already up and running!

Calendar 1/15/2026

It’s time for a little "self-reflection" and an important update for all those following our television tests. Although the TitanOS system initially had significant shortcomings in the Polish streaming offering, the situation has just changed. We have updated all our reviews and comparisons, as key applications have finally appeared in the Philips ecosystem: Player and Polsat Box Go.

TVN Player on Philips televisions

We want to make it clear: in our editorial office, we adhere to the principle that we rely solely on facts, not on flashy PR announcements. We fully understand that some updates and new applications are announced well in advance, but life teaches us that the road from "announcement" to an icon on the screen can be winding. In the case of the Player application, the first whispers of its implementation appeared as early as the beginning of December. However, right after the announcement itself, despite our attempts, the application simply was not yet physically in the system. We do not know exactly on which day or week it "jumped" permanently into the store, but now – after checking this on several different Philips devices – we can confirm with full responsibility: Player is here and working.

Polsat Box Go also on TitanOS

The situation with ChooseTV Box Go looked even more interesting. When we conducted our main tests in May, this application – although it should have been there – was completely unavailable for some unexplained reasons. We noted this as a downside for the TitanOS system at the time. Today, after verifying the hardware with the latest version of the software, ChooseTV Box Go is now visible and ready for use. It’s hard to say whether it was a server-side error or an issue with the lack of appropriate firmware, but the fact is that the problem has been resolved.

Why only now?

We admit frankly: after the December announcements regarding Player, we didn’t drop everything to check the system daily – we simply didn’t have the time during the peak season. However, now, after thoroughly "clicking through" several models, we are certain. If you have bought or are planning to purchase a Philips on TitanOS, you can already count on an almost complete package of Polish VOD services. All our tests have been updated with this information so that none of you are guided by outdated gaps. If the apps haven’t appeared for you yet – check the availability of the system update in the television menu.
