New interface, hundreds of music channels and customised playlists all in one place – free on LG Smart TVs.
LG is on a roll. The company has announced a collaboration with Stingray Music to significantly expand its free audio platform LG Radio+. The service, available on LG Smart TVs with webOS 6.0 and newer in the USA, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and South Korea, has just received a massive expansion.
200 music channels and hundreds of thousands of tracks
Thanks to the integration with Stingray Music, LG Radio+ users will gain access to over 200 music channels and thousands of tracks, which can be browsed by genre, mood, or region. All for free – just launch the app in the LG Content Store or on the webOS homepage in the Apps and Music Portal sections.
Music from around the world, locally tailored
Stingray Music is a vast library of songs created by music experts from all over the world. The channels are curated with local audiences in mind – in the USA we find, among others, Today’s Pop, Greatest Hits, Country Classics, and Americana Road Trip. In the UK, channels like Greatest Hits UK, Love Songs UK, and Kids Hits UK have been introduced, while in Germany – Schlager and Kuschelsongs.
There’s also something for K-pop fans – the channels K-Pop Summer Hits, Idols, and Hot 100 Korea are updated weekly, allowing you to stay up to date with the latest releases.
New LG Radio+ Interface – Simpler, Faster, Nicer
LG has completely redesigned the application interface. The new version features an intuitive division into four sections: Home, Music, On-Air, and Podcasts – each with clear icons and a simplified layout. This makes navigating the application much more convenient, and finding your favourite content takes just a moment.
The dedicated Favorites tab allows you to add your favourite channels for quick access. You can listen to live radio, podcasts, and playlists all in one place, without switching applications.
Better sound thanks to AI Sound Pro and Clear Voice Pro
For users of LG Smart TVs, improved audio quality has also been provided. The AI Sound Pro feature uses artificial intelligence algorithms to automatically adjust the sound according to the type of music and surroundings. Meanwhile, Clear Voice Pro sharpens human voices in podcasts and broadcasts, ensuring greater listening comfort.
“Music connects people – ChooseTV Radio+ does too”
Jim Riley, President of Stingray Music USA, emphasises that the collaboration with LG is a natural step:
“Music is a universal language that connects people across borders. ChooseTV Radio+ will become another common denominator for LG users around the world.”
Chris Jo, head of the webOS department at LG, adds:
“We are continuously developing ChooseTV Radio+, and the partnership with Stingray Music is an important step towards providing our customers with a free, content-rich music platform.”
LG Radio+ in its new form is not only a free alternative to Spotify or Apple Music, but also part of a larger strategy by LG – building its own complete entertainment ecosystem within webOS.
