What to Watch on Netflix JUNE 2025?

A new month, a new dose of serial emotions – and these hit the mark. June 2025 on Netflix is a mix of dramas that stay with you for a long time, grand finales, long-awaited returns, and… documentaries that you start watching out of curiosity and finish with your jaw on the floor.

This month, there is no room for random premieres – most of them are productions that strike a deep emotional chord: a fight for justice, a fall from grace, desperate decisions, and the final showdown in the most iconic game of the decade. For fans of stories about power, chaos, love, revenge, and major choices – Netflix has served up a menu that will easily last for a whole month of binge-watching.

Check out our selection of 5 series that stand out the most in June.

Squid Game – season 3 (final)

Premiere: 27 June

This is the end of the game – literally and figuratively. The third season of “Squid Game” is the long-awaited conclusion of one of the biggest stories in the history of streaming. Seong Gi-hun is no longer the same man who once fought for his life against other desperate participants. Now he returns as someone who understands the rules – and wants to destroy them from within.

The creators promise that the final installment will not only reveal the behind-the-scenes of the organisation but also turn the entire game structure upside down. There will be new faces, returns of familiar characters, and decisions that could cost lives – not only of the participants but also those who pull the strings. Visually and emotionally, it is set to be even more intense than before – more brutal truth about a world that enjoys watching others suffer for entertainment. A finale that could redefine this series.

Aniela

Premiere: 11 June

Małgorzata Kożuchowska in a role we haven't seen her in for a long time. “Aniela” is a Polish social drama about a woman from high society who suddenly loses everything – money, status, her family name, and the illusion of control. She suddenly goes from salons and foundations to the real world, where no one intends to treat her kindly.

The series shows what happens when the illusions of the upper class collide with the brutality of everyday life. Without illusions, but with a dose of humour and self-irony. Aniela tries to find her footing in a world of work, independence, and relationships that are no longer based on influence but on trust. This is a story about a woman who has spent her whole life playing someone else – and now she must decide who she really is when everything is taken from her.

Ginny & Georgia – season 3

Premiere: 5 June

Idyllic? It has long since ended. In the third season, Georgia finds herself in the dock, and her past – up until now swept under the carpet – comes to light in the spotlight. Ginny, forced to grow up faster than she planned, grapples with loyalty towards her mother and her own identity.

The relationship between mother and daughter is put to the ultimate test – this time it’s not about little lies or minor dramas, but about freedom, trust, and responsibility. This season resembles a psychological drama more than the light teen drama where it all began.

It's also worth noting the production – the filming took place mainly in Toronto, but with greater ambition than before. There is a visible higher budget: the frames are more cinematic, the music builds tension more subtly, and the actors are given more space for emotions. Ginny & Georgia 3.0 is not just a continuation – it is a distinct step towards more mature serial storytelling. Premiere: 5 June.

FUBAR – season 2

Premiere: 12 June

Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as a CIA agent who definitely has other plans for retirement. The second season features more action, more humour, and an even greater production scale. Filming took place in Canada and New Mexico, with an emphasis on practical effects and dynamic handheld shots. Everything here smells of 80s action cinema, but with a modern twist.

Trainwreck: Poop Cruise

Premiere: 24 June

What happens when a luxury cruise turns into a stinking nightmare? Netflix returns to the events of 2013, when the ship Carnival Triumph – later dubbed by the media as the “poop cruise” – became stranded in the Caribbean Sea without power, air conditioning, and running water. A engine failure turned what should have been a dream cruise into hell on the water: with broken toilets, a lack of food, and the drama of passengers trapped on a drifting ship.

This documentary is more than just a typical account of a disaster – it’s a social experiment in a closed environment. The direction opts for rawness: authentic recordings from phones, eyewitness accounts, juxtaposed with statements from crisis management and PR experts. The result? A story of how thin the line is between civilization and chaos.

The entire piece is executed in a true crime + reality disaster style – dry, blunt, without unnecessary pathos.

What will you choose this month?

The finale of Squid Game? A cruise that turned into a horror? Or perhaps the return of FUBAR with Arnold in great form? June 2025 is the month when Netflix doesn’t take shortcuts – we’re getting grand premieres, emotions in every form, and stories that stay with the viewer for longer.
