Hisense launches its 2026 TVs. RGB miniLED goes on sale.

Hisense has officially launched its line of televisions for 2026. The manufacturer is expanding its range both in the premium segment and with more affordable models. The biggest new feature is the debut of RGB miniLED technology, which is intended to deliver improved picture quality when watching HDR content. The company hopes this will allow it to compete even more strongly with the world’s largest television manufacturers. The new models are already arriving in stores across Europe, the United States and other regions.

RGB miniLED becomes Hisense's new weapon

The most important models in this year's line-up are the Hisense UR9S and UR8S. Both use RGB miniLED technology, which combines an LCD panel with backlighting made up of red, green and blue LEDs. This solution allows a wider colour gamut and improved HDR performance. The main difference between the models is the number of local dimming zones, which directly affects contrast and picture quality. The TVs will be available in sizes from 55 up to 100 inches. The manufacturer has also announced an update adding Dolby Vision 2 support later this year. In addition to the flagships, Hisense has launched the U7S Pro, U7S, U6S and E8S models using conventional miniLED backlighting. All offer 4K resolution, as Hisense has not been developing 8K TVs for several years. The company has also prepared cheaper E7 and A series aimed at less demanding users. In Europe, the TVs run Vidaa, while in the US variants with Google TV or Fire TV are available. The range covers devices across a variety of price points.

Hisense steps up pressure on the major manufacturers

For several years Hisense has steadily strengthened its position in the television market. Together with TCL, the Chinese manufacturer is increasingly effective at challenging Samsung and LG, in a way similar to how the Korean brands took over the market some years ago. The company is focusing primarily on developing LCD technology rather than on OLED TVs. Although it offers a single OLED model, it does not currently treat that technology as a priority. The strategy centres on further development of miniLED and RGB miniLED. The largest models reach screen diagonals of up to 100 inches and are aimed at competing with similar designs from TCL and Samsung. Some TVs will go on sale in the coming weeks, while selected models will not appear until the end of 2026. All signs indicate that competition in the premium TV segment will become even fiercer. Customers can expect an increasingly broad choice of modern screens using advanced backlighting technologies.

Hisense has started selling its 2026 television range, focusing primarily on the new RGB miniLED technology. The manufacturer wants to use it to compete more effectively with TCL, Samsung and LG, offering premium televisions and more affordable miniLED models in sizes of up to 100 inches.
