Hisense strongly stretches the definition of "mid-range," presenting a new 116-inch television U75QG ULED Mini-LED for the American market. The device is positioned as a cheaper alternative to the flagship model 116UX RGB-MiniLED, which costs as much as 25,000 USD.
In comparison, the U75QG is priced at "only" 19,999 USD and will be available exclusively at Best Buy for some time. It is still a five-figure amount, but Hisense explains that the model is positioned between the luxury UX series and more standard televisions from the brand.
Premium specifications despite "mid-range"
Although theoretically this is an "intermediate" model, on paper it looks like a flagship. ULED is the designation for QLED televisions from Hisense – meaning LCD panels with a layer of quantum dots. In the case of the 116-inch giant, we get:
Mini-LED with over 3000 local dimming zones
Peak brightness up to 4000 nits
Support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+, as well as Filmmaker Mode
Hi-View AI Engine X processor from the UX series, responsible for scene recognition, image optimisation, and advanced colour management
6.2.2-channel Cinestage X system, tuned by Devialet, with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X
Gaming features: 165 Hz refresh rate, VRR, Auto Low-Latency Mode, and Game Mode Ultra
Google TV operating system with a full library of applications and voice control
Price and Availability
The model Hisense U75QG is currently available exclusively at Best Buy. At the time of the premiere, the price was set at $19,999, but it is currently listed for $21,999 – that’s $3,000 less than the 116UX RGB-MiniLED. The television will also be available in other regions shortly
