Zwijane ekrany OLED hitem CES: TCL CSOT i Lenovo pokazują przyszłość, która mieści się w rurce

Calendar 1/16/2026

This is no longer science fiction – at the CES trade show we checked out technology that could completely change the appearance of our cars and laptops. The rollable OLED panels from TCL CSOT and the innovative design from Lenovo prove that a screen doesn’t have to be a rigid sheet of glass!

TCL OLED Screen That Appears and Disappears

The biggest impression was made on us by the prototype from TCL CSOT. This is a developing OLED panel that has been hidden in the car's dashboard. The screen slides out smoothly like a sheet of paper only when needed. This solution allows for a minimalist car interior without sacrificing a huge workspace.

Lenovo: A Laptop That "Grows" Before Your Eyes

We've seen similar technology in Lenovo's release. The manufacturer showcased a laptop whose screen mechanically extends upwards, increasing the workspace in just a few seconds. It's the perfect solution for those working with long spreadsheets or code who want a compact device once the work is done.

Although the concept of rollable screens is not new (we remember the LG Rollable R9 TV from 2019), what we saw this year is on a completely different level. The key is miniaturisation – new matrices roll up into a very tight tube, not requiring large casings or powerful actuators. Imagine projection screens replaced by paper-thin OLEDs with perfect contrast. Will our smartphones and laptops look like this in a few years? Everything indicates that we are heading in that direction.
