Xiaomi reveals new Yu7 models – screens that can compete with televisions!
On May 22, Xiaomi will officially present a new series of electric cars Xiaomi SU7 in the Yu7 variant, and the whole thing fits into the broader strategy of the brand: expansion into all possible market segments. From smartphones, through smart home, to electromobility – Xiaomi is expanding its technology empire, trying to create an ecosystem where everything works with the HyperOS ecosystem.
But since we are the party that specializes in screens and televisions, let’s take a closer look at the displays used in the Yu7 models, because there’s a lot happening here too.
Displays in Xiaomi Yu7 – like OLEDs, but on wheels
In the latest model Xiaomi Yu7, we find a 15.6-inch central screen, a 16.1-inch screen for the passenger, and a 56-inch HUD display – and these are figures that cannot be overlooked. Xiaomi has heavily focused on image quality and interaction comfort. The screens have been optimised for responsiveness, colour depth, and brightness – key parameters that are also important in the world of home televisions.
Interestingly, the 56-inch HUD introduces an experience known from heads-up displays in luxury premium vehicles, while also offering a resolution and contrast that could shame many a laptop or monitor. This shows that Xiaomi is bringing home entertainment standards into the car cabin – quite literally.
The multimedia system is based on HyperOS, so the graphical interface has been refined for users accustomed to high-quality screens. Xiaomi is continuously striving to expand its capabilities – both hardware and software – creating an integrated world where it doesn’t matter which of their devices you are using. The Yu7 is another step in this direction.

Xiaomi not only designs – now it also wants to deliver faster and wider
Importantly, with the premiere of the Yu7, Xiaomi is also expanding its distribution network. Xiaomi has announced that by the end of the year it aims to have as many as 219 retail outlets and 143 service points. This is a significant step forward, demonstrating that the company not only focuses on creating modern cars, but also on making them easy to buy and service. It is clear that Xiaomi is increasingly dedicated to complete, convenient customer service – something that until now has mainly been associated with their electronics, is now extending to the automotive world.
And what about Poland? Although official sales of Xiaomi cars have not yet been confirmed in our market, the development of the network in Europe and ambitions for expansion suggest that the introduction of models such as the Yu7 to Poland is only a matter of time. After all, Xiaomi has been one of the leaders in smartphone and smart home device sales in our country for years – it would be a natural move to extend the offering to the electromobility segment, as soon as the infrastructure and regulations allow it.
