Size matters – but not always. Sometimes it’s the small things that change everything.
On 4 October 2025, Samsung officially unveiled something that could become a turning point in the world of televisions. The new Samsung Micro RGB is the world’s first television equipped with a micro-scale RGB LED backlighting system, setting a new standard in colour precision, contrast, and brightness.
The promotional video highlighted that “greatness comes in small things” – from small light sources, something great emerges. Just as individual stars form the universe, millions of microscopic Micro RGB diodes are set to create an image with unprecedented accuracy.
From LED to Micro RGB – a scale that changes everything
In a short video, Samsung compares three generations of backlighting:
LED – a standard known for years,
Mini LED – providing local dimming zones,
Micro RGB – a new generation where each RGB diode is an independent light source, operating with microscopic precision.
As a result, the image gains more precise control over brightness, darkness, and colours, translating to more natural tonal transitions and greater colour depth.
Heart of the TV: Micro RGB AI Gen3 Processor
The new Micro RGB AI Gen3 processor analyses every scene in real time, adjusting image parameters for millions of microscopic diodes.
According to Samsung, artificial intelligence controls each "light point" separately, which is said to ensure:
higher colour accuracy,
smoother motion,
and a more immersive experience in the image – from games to HDR movies.
The whole has been confirmed by the VDE certification guaranteeing colour fidelity and image stability.
Glare Free and HDR+ Technology
Samsung has also ensured that nothing distracts from the viewing experience. The new Glare Free coating reduces reflections and light glare, which will be particularly appreciated by users of large screens in bright living rooms.
Meanwhile, HDR+ optimises contrast and details regardless of the type of content – from streaming to next-generation consoles.
Design that highlights technology
Micro RGB Vision AI TV 2025 is enclosed in a metal, ultra-slim casing, reminiscent of OLED designs. The TV almost merges with the wall, yet catches the eye as soon as it's turned on.
Price and Availability
The model has appeared on Samsung's official website in a 115-inch version called Samsung Vision AI Micro RGB (2025).
Price? 29,999.99 USD, making it one of the most expensive, yet also one of the most advanced consumer televisions on the market.

Samsung Micro RGB is a herald of an era where traditional backlighting becomes a thing of the past. Thanks to micro-RGB LEDs and a new AI processor, each pixel acts as an independent light source – creating an image closer to reality than ever before.
