Panasonic is dispelling concerns about its future in the US TV market. After earlier reports that Chinese firm Skyworth would take over production, sales and marketing of Panasonic TVs in North America, questions arose over whether the Japanese brand might withdraw from the region again. The latest announcement, however, shows something completely different. Panasonic, together with Skyworth, has just unveiled an expanded TV line-up for 2026 that comprises no fewer than six series.
Panasonic expands TV lineup in the US
In 2026 Panasonic’s US offering will include the flagship OLED Z95B, which will remain on sale, as well as five new series. Among them are the lifestyle-focused W87C, the W85C with a QD-Mini LED panel, and the more affordable W80C, W75C and S65C. This increases the range from two series available in 2025 to six series for 2026. Panasonic also intends to use several different Smart TV platforms. Depending on the model, users will get Fire TV, Google TV or Roku TV. This also shows the company is at least partly keeping a similar TV lineup in Europe and North America.
One of the more interesting new additions is the Panasonic W87C, the company’s first style-oriented TV in the US lineup. The model uses the Art Time feature, which lets the screen display decorative content when switched off and makes it look more like a piece of interior decor. The W87C will be available in the United States in a 55-inch size, priced at $600. Panasonic is therefore targeting it at people who, in addition to picture quality, also care about how the TV looks in the living room.
Mini-LED and cheaper models in the lineup
Panasonic isn't limiting itself to higher-end models. The W85C series will use QD-Mini LED technology and will be available in 55-, 65- and 75-inch sizes. The 55-inch variant will start at US$550. Lower in the lineup are the W80C, W75C and S65C series. The W80C will offer screen sizes from 43 inches all the way up to 85 inches, the W75C will be available as a 55-inch model, while the S65C will go on sale in 32-, 40- and 43-inch versions. For now, however, Panasonic has not announced plans to bring the cheaper OLED Z85C/Z86C TVs to the US, even though they are available in other markets.
The new lineup is a clear signal that Panasonic has no intention of leaving the US TV market again. Together with Skyworth, the company has increased the number of available series and will offer models covering OLED, Mini-LED and more affordable LCD designs. Prices for the new TVs start at $550 for the 55-inch W85C, while the lifestyle W87C costs $600. The flagship Z95B will remain the top-tier model in the US range.
