TCL proves once again that it knows how to make good and affordable televisions. Their latest SF560K QLED series has just hit the market – and at very tempting prices. If you’re looking for a second screen for your home – for the bedroom, kitchen, or kids' room – this could be exactly what you need.
QLED for under 300 pounds? Yes, it's happening
The new SF560K models come in three sizes: 32, 40, and 43 inches. Each of them features a Full HD screen with Direct LED backlighting and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, but the most important aspect here is something else – the QLED panel. Yes, we're talking about those same quantum dots that we associate with more expensive models. The result? Definitely better colours than in classic LEDs within this price range.
TCL also adds a few technological extras: support for HDR10, Dolby Audio and DTS:X sound, and a promise of better energy efficiency. The operating system is Fire TV – known for full access to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and the rest of the major players. It's not Android TV, but in practice, the differences are minimal.
British market? Full integration with "Freely" and Alexa
Interesting fact – the SF560K is one of the first televisions in the UK with the Freely app pre-installed, providing access to live broadcasts and on-demand content from BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5. Additionally, it comes with a remote that supports Alexa, so you can control not just the TV, but also other smart home devices with your voice.
And now the most important thing – the price
The official prices are as follows:
– 32 inches: £219 (approx. $415 AUD)
– 40 inches: £249 (approx. $470 AUD)
– 43 inches: £299 (approx. $565 AUD)
Currently, you can buy on promotion:
– 32 inches for £159 (approx. $300 AUD)
– 43 inches for £229 (approx. $430 AUD)
For a QLED TV with HDR10 support, Dolby Audio, and DTS:X – these are really competitive prices. Especially considering that in this price range, it’s rare to find panels with quantum dot technology.
What about Australia?
Although the TCL SF560K is currently only available in the UK, there are signs that it could eventually make its way to other international markets—including Australia. TCL has a solid presence Down Under and is already known for offering affordable TVs through major retailers like JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, and Harvey Norman. Models from related series, such as the SF540K or the P Series, have previously launched in Australia under slightly different names or specs. If TCL follows its usual global rollout pattern, a comparable version of the SF560K could arrive later this year—possibly in the spring or early summer. It's definitely worth watching local retailers and TCL Australia's official site for updates.
